“Great value, people,and view”
Beautiful place, but very basic (I am not saying it as a drawback, just for description purposes). It is located in a hill with a great view. It is away from all the "action", but we enjoyed that. We rented a car (arranged by the Apanemo's staff), and drove the whole island back and forth. The staff/owners were as helpful and accomodating as they could be. I highly recommend the hotel if you plan for the transportation. ” —Stayed September 2010, traveled as a couple
“Great value for money on Santorini”
First of all, this hotel is away from noisy and overcrowded Fira and Oia which is great. It is close to some most beautiful beaches (Cambia, Vylchada, Theros) on the island and some very good tavernas. Acrotiri village is still unspoiled by mass tourism which is very important fact when you are on Santorini. It is only 20 minutes drive to Fira and 40 to Oia.
We had superior room and it was spacious (for Santorini) and very clean. We had private terrace and beautiful view to Caldera and sea.
Do not miss to ask Nikos for perfect tavern tips! ” —Stayed July 2011, traveled as a couple, Belgrade, Serbia
“Stunning little hotel”
Another girl and I went last July (forgot to write the review before!), but I would say to anyone wanting a quiet, simple holiday in the sun, it is perfect in my opinion. The owner could not have been more helpful - even drove us to the airport on our return, and his parents gave us a lift up from town one night. Only downside is that it is 15-20 mins' walk down / up a hill to get to the small town of Akrotiri, from where the local buses go hourly to all over the island. Renting a car or a moped might be the way forward another time for me. No restaurant, but fridges in the rooms, and fabby breakfasts included! ” —Stayed August 2010, traveled with friends, London, United Kingdom
